Not least because I could write a for-loop in Perl, let alone mod the publishing system, whereas PHP I find quite comfortable to work/play with
- A story about elementary school lunches. My version of this was thinking that wearing uniforms at school was utter crap. The teachers & parents all tried to convince us that it was best — I only later realised that what they meant was at least if everyone was wearing a uniform it was harder to tell who was poorer, even if it was still obvious which were bought second-hand

- Nice review of Thunderbird — I keep meaning to install this and never get around to it. Can’t decide if it’s a viable plan for me to try just having one local copy of email — it may well be that Gmail has superseded my need for an email client
