Regarding that link about Ross Anderson advocating ‘back doors’, I have to say I’m surprised. From what I know of him (and he’s lectured me, so that’s more than most) he’s about as staunchly anti-DRM as they come (just read his TCPA page for evidence). Considering he’s also pretty keen on privacy and anonymity in computer systems, best guess here is that he’s trying to damage the Trusted Computing system itself by ensuring that the sole keys to TC-encrypted content don’t like with the content providers.
