Making things useful, getting stuff done

Links for Fri 2 Dec 05

  • I’ve loved Jason’s recent travelogue, but this has been my favourite bit so far:

“The sound that a crowd makes when something strange/bad happens in its vicinity is univerally recognizable no matter the language or culture.”

  • Ping is one of those great people that is annoyed by something and rather than bitching about it, not only Just Solves It (TM), but happily shares the solution
  • Great shot, great caption:

“By all accounts the number of telescopes in any given neighbourhood is inversely proportional to the number of curtains.”

  • Antworks looks very cool, but the description is hilarious. Incidentally, Cheap & Tiny is a great new find
  • This Goblet of Fire parody is absolutely hilarious
  • Like Jason, I’m a sucker for a simple, lowtech solution. Like the flies painted on urinals
  • Jon Hicks has had ANOTHER Powerbook die on him. The silver lining to this cloud is the recording of him going “Oh bugger! I’ll go and buy a bloody Dell then” — check the comments for the link
