How many geeks does it take to change a lightbulb?
In our house, five.
One to climb up the ladder and deal with the light fitting.
One to hold the ladder.
One to hold the screws, pass things around and crawl around on the floor retrieving things that go AWOL (geeks have butterfingers)
One to deal with the power tools.
And finally, one to film the entire escapade.

I’m sure your house must somehow achieve a kind of Geek Critical Mass – that much geekness in one place can’t be healthy…

LOL. Truth is it’s probably better than it was. At least now we have more than one non-computer scientist in the house!

“Computer Scientist” and “Geek” are not synonyms!!! We do have a greater variety of geek now, but not necessarily less geekiness in general.
And it didn’t film it. I took photos and promised to do a cartoon strip.

I agree, Compsci |= Geek, but CompSci arguably more likely to be geek than non-CompSci.
Oops — sorry, thought you had the video out too ;-P

Heheh, that damn bathroom light?
Did that on my own once, Mr Brain did that once with me holding the ladder… but 5, 5!
(That said, it did take me the best part of 20mins.)
Well, good job 😉
Maybe I should get a job as a maintainance man instead of a developer.

LOL! I do miss that house (even though never technically lived there…) Hope Elly will publish the photos/cartoon/whatever.
BTW, how does your blog handle other people’s e-mail addresses? I’ve had an increasing amount of spam recently and it seems to coincide with the last comment I posted here…

If you put your email address and no URL in it shows it, since that’s the MT default. So it could be picked up by passing spambots. Most people put in an URL so it’s not been a problem before — but I’ll have a look if I can hide the email addys

Ah, I see. *puts in URL instead* Thank you. 🙂
