Making things useful, getting stuff done

Big Brother and Other Comedy

  • Olympic Big Brother
    — apparently at Athens this year, if you have any non-
sponsor branding on you, they may kick you out. Thought police…. Read the

    comedy BoingBoing commentary
  • Gene therapy causes monkeys to
    become more hard-
    working
and stop procrastinating. Scary shit. Imagine when this starts to
    replace ProPlus
  • Olympic security
    system is all satellite mapped
and they give the guards PDAs to mark their
positions. You wonder this if this is to make things more secure or just make it
easier to catch them out when they’re skiving
  • First mobile
    virus emerges
. Ironically it was created as an integral part of the game
that spreads it, designed as an anti-piracy measure by the criginal developing
    company

  • Mozilla start work
on what may be an alternative to ActiveX. Thank god
  • New technology that allows you to
    project
    images onto curved surfaces
looks really cool and certainly will give
projectors an extra bonus over the usual options
  • Ferry
security guard singlehandedly validates everyone’s privacy concerns
  • Parent takes kids to Usher concert.
    Hilarity ensues
  • Visual history of
    computer gaming
    . Pretty cool 🙂

  • Signs of too much blogging
    — very entertaining. Not too many apply to me
    yet, thankfully
