- Firebird has a new name — Firefox. Not sure I like the name, but the logo is great
- Firefox icon by Jon Hicks
- Corante article on blogging conferences — interesting take on the different styles and their usefulness
- Tips for good presentations — interesting, although I would add the old favourite of “Tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them, tell them what you told them” for maximum impact.
- Paul Hammond has some pretty pictures, but also many of these links came from him, so he deserves a link back 😉

Firefox logo very cute. So is the red panda.
And yes, I totally agree with the “Tell them what you’re going to tell them, tell them, then tell them what you told them” approach to both presentation and long academic works (my MA dissertation being a classsic example).

Firefox is also broken, unfortunately. I had it crash three times following the link to get to this comments page, and it’s crashed half a dozen more times on two computers I use in the last two days. This has never once happened with previous versions: I think I might have to revert to Firebird 0.7. Or anything other than IE, which is what I’m using to type this…

Update: this bug seems to have been fixed in the Feb 14 build, so now I’m happy.
